The G20 should be practitioners of global development reform. We should accelerate implementation of the U.N. 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and work for more inclusive and resilient development beneficial to all. We should deepen global development partnerships, mobilize global development resources, and facilitate greater synergy in actions that are supportive of global development. Since President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Development Initiative (GDI) three years ago, more than 100 countries and international organizations have supported the GDI, over 80 countries have joined the Group of Friends of the GDI, and China has carried out over 1,100 cooperation programs with various sides. China supports Brazil’s proposal to establish a Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty. China welcomes the consensus on reducing inequalities and strengthening drinking-water, sanitation and hygiene services, and will work with G20 partners to enhance cooperation in this regard.

China is ready to work closely with all interested countries, regions, and international organizations including the UN development system in particular to jointly encourage the international community to focus on development issues, deepen global development partnerships, build a global community for development and together make greater contribution to accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

全球发展倡议以加快落实2030年可持续发展议程为宗旨目标，致力于深化全球发展伙伴关系，促进国际发展合作，实现更加强劲、绿色、健康的全球发展。该倡议聚焦发展合作，着眼疫情下各国特别是发展中国家复苏面临的最紧迫问题，提出减贫、粮食安全、抗疫和疫苗、发展筹资、气候变化和绿色发展、工业化、数字经济、互联互通等八个重点合作领域，为疫情下加快落实2030年议程提出可行路径。

The GDI aims at speeding up the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is committed to deepening global development partnerships, promoting international development cooperation and achieving more robust, greener and more balanced global development. The initiative focuses on development cooperation and puts forth eight key areas of cooperation on poverty alleviation, food security, COVID-19 response and vaccines, development financing, climate change and green development, industrialization, digital economy and connectivity with an eye on the most urgent issues faced by countries, especially developing ones, in their recovery amid the pandemic. It proposes a feasible pathway to accelerating implementation of the 2030 Agenda against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
