党领导着力打赢污染防治攻坚战，深入实施大气、水、土壤污染防治三大行动计划，打好蓝天、碧水、净土保卫战，开展农村人居环境整治，全面禁止进口“洋垃圾”。开展中央生态环境保护督察，坚决查处一批破坏生态环境的重大典型案件、解决一批人民群众反映强烈的突出环境问题。我国积极参与全球环境与气候治理，作出力争二〇三〇年前实现碳达峰、二〇六〇年前实现碳中和的庄严承诺，体现了负责任大国的担当。

Under the Party’s leadership, China has achieved initial success in the critical battle against pollution. Three major action plans on addressing air, water, and soil pollution have been fully implemented. We have continued working to keep our skies blue, our waters clear, and our lands pollution-free, improved rural living environments, and completely banned the importation of solid waste. We have carried out central government environmental inspections, strictly investigated and prosecuted a number of major representative cases of ecological damage, and addressed a number of environmental problems that have aroused strong public concern. China has played an active role in global environmental and climate governance, and pledged to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, demonstrating its commitment to act as a responsible major country.

我国建设性参与国际和地区热点问题政治解决，在气候变化、减贫、反恐、网络安全和维护地区安全等领域发挥积极作用。我国开展抗击新冠肺炎疫情国际合作，发起新中国成立以来最大规模的全球紧急人道主义行动，向众多国家特别是发展中国家提供物资援助、医疗支持、疫苗援助和合作，展现负责任大国形象。

China has played a constructive role in the political resolution of regional and international hotspot issues, and it has been a positive force on issues such as climate change, poverty reduction, counterterrorism, cyber security, and regional security. In combating Covid-19, China has engaged in international cooperation and launched the largest global emergency humanitarian operation since the founding of the People’s Republic, providing supplies, medical support, and vaccine assistance for many countries, especially developing countries, and engaging in vaccine cooperation with a number of them. China has thus built its image as a responsible major country.

当今世界变乱交织，中国作为负责任大国，积极推动全球治理变革，深化全球南方团结合作。我们推进高质量共建“一带一路”走深走实，成功举办中非合作论坛北京峰会，在上合、金砖、亚太经合组织、二十国集团等双边多边场合，鲜明提出中国主张，为维护世界和平稳定注入更多正能量。

In a world of both transformation and turbulence, China, as a responsible major country, is actively promoting global governance reform and deepening solidarity and cooperation among the Global South. We are making deeper and more substantive advances in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was a full success. We put forward China's vision at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, APEC, G20 and other bilateral and multilateral forums. We have contributed greatly to the maintenance of world peace and stability.

取得这些重大和积极进展的关键，在于习近平总书记的领航掌舵，在每个重要节点作出战略判断，引领新时代中国特色大国外交实践；在于习近平外交思想的科学指引，从人类发展大潮流、世界变化大格局中准确把握中国同世界的关系,使中国的外交理念与政策始终符合绝大多数国家的共同愿望，始终顺应历史发展进步的客观规律，始终占据国际道义的制高点。今日之中国，已经成为更具国际影响力、创新引领力、道义感召力的负责任大国。

These major achievements are fundamentally attributable to the stewardship of General Secretary Xi Jinping, who made strategic judgment at every crucial juncture and steered the major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. They are also attributable to the scientific guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, which correctly defines China’s relations with the world amid overall human development and the evolving world landscape, making sure that China’s diplomatic vision and foreign policy always meet the shared aspirations of most countries, always conform to the laws of historical progress, and always hold international moral high ground. China today is already a responsible major country with enhanced international influence, stronger capacity to lead new endeavors, and greater moral appeal.

双方始终坚持和平发展、公道正义，在很多国际和地区问题上有相同或相似的看法。两国同为国际关系基本准则和多边主义的坚定捍卫者，长期在联合国、二十国集团、金砖国家等国际组织和多边机制内，就全球治理、气候变化等重大议题保持密切配合。不久前，中巴共同发表了关于推动政治解决乌克兰危机的“六点共识”，得到国际社会积极回应。中巴携手发挥负责任大国作用和担当，促进了世界多极化和国际关系民主化，为世界和平稳定注入了正能量。

China and Brazil stay committed to peace, development, fairness and justice. We have similar or identical views on many international and regional issues. Both are staunch defenders of the basic norms of international relations and multilateralism, coordinating closely and consistently within the U.N., G20, BRICS and other international organizations and multilateral mechanisms on crucial issues, including global governance and climate change. Not long ago, China and Brazil jointly issued a six-point common understanding on political settlement of the Ukraine crisis. Our initiative has received a positive response from the international community. China and Brazil, embracing our roles and responsibilities as major countries, have contributed to a multipolar world, conduced to greater democracy in international relations and injected positive energy into global peace and stability.
