党领导着力打赢污染防治攻坚战，深入实施大气、水、土壤污染防治三大行动计划，打好蓝天、碧水、净土保卫战，开展农村人居环境整治，全面禁止进口“洋垃圾”。开展中央生态环境保护督察，坚决查处一批破坏生态环境的重大典型案件、解决一批人民群众反映强烈的突出环境问题。我国积极参与全球环境与气候治理，作出力争二〇三〇年前实现碳达峰、二〇六〇年前实现碳中和的庄严承诺，体现了负责任大国的担当。

Under the Party’s leadership, China has achieved initial success in the critical battle against pollution. Three major action plans on addressing air, water, and soil pollution have been fully implemented. We have continued working to keep our skies blue, our waters clear, and our lands pollution-free, improved rural living environments, and completely banned the importation of solid waste. We have carried out central government environmental inspections, strictly investigated and prosecuted a number of major representative cases of ecological damage, and addressed a number of environmental problems that have aroused strong public concern. China has played an active role in global environmental and climate governance, and pledged to reach peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, demonstrating its commitment to act as a responsible major country.

我国建设性参与国际和地区热点问题政治解决，在气候变化、减贫、反恐、网络安全和维护地区安全等领域发挥积极作用。我国开展抗击新冠肺炎疫情国际合作，发起新中国成立以来最大规模的全球紧急人道主义行动，向众多国家特别是发展中国家提供物资援助、医疗支持、疫苗援助和合作，展现负责任大国形象。

China has played a constructive role in the political resolution of regional and international hotspot issues, and it has been a positive force on issues such as climate change, poverty reduction, counterterrorism, cyber security, and regional security. In combating Covid-19, China has engaged in international cooperation and launched the largest global emergency humanitarian operation since the founding of the People’s Republic, providing supplies, medical support, and vaccine assistance for many countries, especially developing countries, and engaging in vaccine cooperation with a number of them. China has thus built its image as a responsible major country.

郭嘉昆：中方已多次表明有关立场。我们愿重申，作为负责任大国，中国一贯模范履行应尽的国际义务。

Guo Jiakun: China has made clear its position more than once. Let me reiterate that as a responsible major country, China has always been a role model in performing its due international obligations.

毛宁：伊朗战事爆发以来，中方一直积极致力于促和止战。王毅外长同相关国家外长先后26次通话，中国政府中东问题特使赴中东海湾地区穿梭访问，中国同巴基斯坦共同提出关于恢复海湾和中东地区和平稳定的五点倡议。作为负责任大国，中方将继续发挥建设性作用，为恢复海湾和中东地区和平安宁作出积极贡献。

Mao Ning: Since the fighting began, China has worked actively to help bring about an end to the conflict. Foreign Minister Wang Yi made 26 phones calls with his counterparts from relevant countries. The Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue traveled to the Gulf and Middle East region in a mediation effort. China and Pakistan jointly put forward the five-point initiative for restoring peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East region. As a responsible major country, China will continue playing a constructive role and making positive contribution to restoring peace and tranquility in the Gulf and Middle East region.

毛宁：当前伊朗战事仍在外溢，当务之急是积极劝和促谈，推动战火平息。中方认为，联合国安理会的行动应有助于缓和局势，止战复谈，而不能为非法战争行为背书，更不能火上浇油。作为安理会常任理事国和负责任大国，中方愿为平息战火、恢复和平、实现地区持久稳定发挥建设性作用。

Mao Ning: As the conflict regarding Iran continues to spill over, the pressing priority is to actively promote peace talks for the end of the conflict. China believes that any action taken by the UN Security Council should be conducive to easing tensions, stopping the conflict and resuming talks. It should not be used to endorse illegal military moves and still less add fuel to the flame. As a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a major responsible country, China stands ready to play a constructive role in bringing about a ceasefire, restoring peace, and realizing lasting stability in the region.
