—We should stay focused on development as a priority and remove hinderance to development. Development is an eternal pursuit of humanity and a major yardstick of the progress of times. The Global Development Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping has received active support from the U.N. and a vast number of developing countries. BRICS should harness its strengths to drive development to the center of the U.N. agenda, stay attentive to the difficulties facing developing countries, urge developed countries to honor their promises, and give a stronger boost to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is important to keep in mind the urgent needs of developing countries in poverty reduction, development financing, and energy and food security, and seize the opportunities presented by the technological revolution and industrial transformation to foster new drivers for high-quality development.

中国始终是现行国际秩序的维护者、真正多边主义的践行者。中方倡导和平发展，反对国强必霸；倡导合作共赢，反对赢者通吃；倡导文明互鉴，反对文明冲突；倡导公道公正，反对强权政治。中国相继提出共建“一带一路”倡议和全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议、全球文明倡议、全球治理倡议，为解决当今世界突出问题贡献了中国智慧和中国方案。中方期待同各方一道，共促繁荣、共赢未来，携手构建人类命运共同体。

China always upholds the current international order and practices true multilateralism. We embrace peaceful development, and reject the assertion that a strong country will inevitably seek hegemony. We champion win-win cooperation, and denounce winner-takes-all practices. We advocate mutual learning among civilizations, and do not believe in clash of civilizations. We promote fairness and justice, and oppose power politics. China has successively put forward the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative. They are China’s solutions to the salient issues across the world, based on Chinese wisdom. We look forward to working with all parties to promote common prosperity and a win-win future for all, and building a community with a shared future for humanity.

王毅外长出席蓝厅论坛并发表题为《落实全球治理倡议共建人类命运共同体》的讲话，深入阐释全球治理倡议的重要意义，强调倡议契合世界所需，顺应人心所向，同全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议、全球文明倡议一道，为动荡不安的世界注入宝贵的稳定性、确定性。全球治理倡议最明确的信息，就是汇聚团结的力量；最坚定的立场，就是高举多边的旗帜；最渴望的愿景，就是追求公平的未来。

Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the Lanting Forum and delivered a speech entitled “Implementing the Global Governance Initiative for a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity.” He elaborated on the significance of the GGI and stressed that the initiative responds to the needs of the world and wishes of the people. Together with the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), it promises much needed stability and provides certainty for this volatile world. The most unequivocal message from the GGI is a call for stronger solidarity. The GGI represents a most powerful statement of multilateralism. The most desired vision of the GGI is a future of fairness.

面对层出不穷的全球性挑战、不断加重的和平、发展、安全、治理四大赤字，联合国发展走到了历史的十字路口。在此背景下，中国作为负责任大国，提出全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议、全球文明倡议和全球治理倡议，就是为了更好维护和践行真正的多边主义，推动构建更加公正合理的全球治理体系。四大全球倡议与联合国宪章宗旨和原则一脉相承，形成以发展促繁荣、以安全保稳定、以文明增互信、以治理求公正的有机整体。

Facing an endless array of global challenges and worsening deficits in peace, development, security and governance, the development of the UN has come to a historical crossroads. It is in this context that China, a responsible major country, put forward the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative to better uphold and practice true multilateralism and promote the building of a more just and equitable global governance system. The four initiatives are fully aligned with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and form an integral whole to help achieve prosperity through development, ensure stability through better security, enhance mutual trust through exchanges between civilizations and pursue justice through sound governance.
