Second, a stronger commitment to the Five Principles is required in a development-focused Asia. Over the past decades, Asia has maintained rapid development, because countries in the region have always followed the right way to get along. We have treated each other as equals, fostered mutual respect and mutual benefit, and jointly promoted stability. For Asia to achieve even greater development, it is imperative that we continue to pursue friendship and partnership with our neighbors, oppose bloc confrontation and “small yards with high fences,” and increase the synergy for development.

总台华语环球节目中心记者：我们注意到，近期西方媒体有观点认为全球人工智能竞赛进入“中美争霸”，或将加剧科技领域的阵营对抗。同时中美科技企业在通用大模型、机器人等领域最近落地了多个合作项目，不少业界人士呼吁两国在AI方面开展合作。中方如何看待上述动向？

CCTV: Some Western media commented that the global AI race has now evolved into a contest between China and the U.S., which will probably result in greater bloc confrontation in technology. Meanwhile, Chinese and U.S. tech companies have implemented multiple cooperation programs covering general-purpose AI models, robots, and other areas. Many have called for more China-U.S. cooperation on AI. What’s China’s take on these developments? 

毛宁：关于“四边机制”，中方已经多次阐明立场。我们一贯反对搞排他性的“小圈子”，反对搞阵营对抗。在半岛问题上，中方的立场和政策保持着连续性、稳定性。

Mao Ning: China has made clear its position on the Quad grouping more than once. We are consistently against forming exclusive groupings and inciting bloc confrontation. As to the Korean Peninsula issue, China’s position and policy maintain continuity and consistency.

毛宁：关于“四边机制”，中方已多次阐明立场。国与国之间的合作应当有利于促进地区和平、稳定与繁荣，不应针对第三方。我们反对搞排他的“小圈子”，反对阵营对抗。

Mao Ning: China has stated its position on Quad on multiple occasions. Cooperation between countries should be conducive to regional peace, stability and prosperity, and not target any third party. We oppose forming exclusive groupings or engaging in bloc confrontation.
