The Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has implemented the national rejuvenation strategy within the wider context of once-in-a-century changes taking place in the world. It has stressed that the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics is an era in which we will build on past successes to further advance our cause and continue to strive for the success of socialism with Chinese characteristics under new historical conditions; an era in which we will use the momentum of our decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects to fuel all-out efforts to build a great modern socialist country; an era in which Chinese people of all ethnic groups will work together to create a better life for themselves and gradually realize the goal of common prosperity; an era in which all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation will strive with one heart to realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation; and an era in which China will make even greater contributions to humanity. This new era is a new historic juncture in China’s development.

今年是中欧建交50周年，是双方关系承前启后、继往开来的重要年份。我们希望欧方真正树立更加客观理性的对华认知，奉行更加积极务实的对华政策。希望欧方认识到，当下需要再平衡的是欧方的心态，而不是中欧经贸关系。当前动荡形势下，希望欧方同中方相向而行，加强互利合作，妥处分歧摩擦，推动中欧关系持续健康稳定发展。

This year marks the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic ties. It is an important year of building on past achievements and charting the future for this relationship. We hope the EU will form a more objective and rational perception of China, and practice a more positive and pragmatic China policy. We also hope the EU will see that what needs “rebalancing” is not China-EU economic ties per se, but the EU’s mindset. Given the volatilities in today’s world, we hope the EU will work with China, enhance our mutually beneficial cooperation, properly settle differences and disputes, and promote the sustained, sound and steady growth of China-EU relations.

今年是中越建交75周年暨“中越人文交流年”，对两国关系具有承前启后、继往开来的重大意义。访问期间，习近平总书记、国家主席就深化中越命运共同体建设提出六点重要举措，指出要增进更高水平的战略互信，建设更加牢固的安全屏障，拓展更高质量的互利合作，系牢更加广泛的民意纽带，开展更加紧密的多边协作，实现更加良性的海上互动。双方一致同意，要坚定不移推进中越友好事业，支持对方走好符合本国国情的社会主义道路，将战略互信提升至更高水平，打造更加务实的安全合作支柱，以中国发展新质生产力和越南发展新型生产力为契机构建更加广泛深入的全方位合作格局，夯实中越命运共同体的民意基础，开展更加紧密的多边战略协作，妥善管控解决分歧，维护中越友好大局。

This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Viet Nam diplomatic ties and the China-Viet Nam Year of People-to-People Exchanges, which presents an important opportunity to build on what has been achieved and take the relationship into the next chapter. While in Viet Nam, General Secretary and President Xi Jinping proposed six measures to deepen the building of the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future. He said we need to elevate strategic mutual trust to a higher level, build more robust security safeguards, expand higher-quality mutually beneficial cooperation, make the people-to-people bond more broad-based, carry out closer multilateral coordination, and engage in more constructive maritime interactions. Both sides agreed to firmly strengthen friendship, support each other in pursuing the socialist path suited to our respective national conditions, elevate strategic mutual trust to a higher level, build pillars for more practical security cooperation, seize the opportunity of the formation of new quality productive forces in China and new types of productive forces in Viet Nam to conduct more broad-based, in-depth, and comprehensive cooperation, consolidate the public support for the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future, have closer multilateral strategic coordination, properly handle and resolve differences, and act in the larger interest of China-Viet Nam friendship.

此访将适逢中越建交75周年，对两国关系具有承前启后、继往开来的重大意义。访问期间，习近平总书记将同苏林总书记举行会谈，会见越南国家主席梁强、总理范明政、国会主席陈青敏。中方期待同越方一道，以此访为契机，巩固“同志加兄弟”的中越传统友谊，增进战略互信，深化务实合作，推动中越命运共同体建设走深走实，为构建人类命运共同体作出更大贡献。

This visit comes on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Viet Nam, which presents a historic opportunity to build on what has been achieved and take the relationship into the next chapter. During the visit, General Secretary Xi Jinping will hold talks with General Secretary To Lam, meet with Viet Nam’s President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man. Taking this visit as an opportunity, China looks forward to working with Viet Nam to consolidate our traditional friendship as comrades and brothers, enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, work for sustained and steady progress in the building of the China-Viet Nam community with a shared future and make greater contributions to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
