中国共产党二十届三中全会就进一步全面深化改革、推进中国式现代化作出系统部署，必将为世界提供更多机遇。上个月，中非合作论坛北京峰会成功举办，宣布了中非携手推进现代化十大伙伴行动，将为“全球南方”实现现代化注入新动能。

The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made systemic plans for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. This will provide more opportunities for the world. Last month, we held in Beijing a successful summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and announced ten partnership actions for China and Africa to jointly advance modernization. This will instill new energy for the Global South on its way toward modernization.

林剑：金砖合作机制是新兴市场国家和发展中国家团结合作的重要平台。金砖国家领导人举行线上峰会，就当前国际经贸环境、维护多边体系深入交换意见，形成广泛共识，对于深化金砖伙伴关系、增进全球南方利益具有重要意义，为“大金砖合作”高质量发展注入新动能。

Lin Jian: BRICS offers an important platform for greater solidarity and cooperation among emerging markets and developing countries. Leaders from BRICS countries held the virtual summit to have in-depth exchanges of views and reached extensive consensus on the current international economic and trade environment and safeguarding the multilateral system. This bears great significance to deepening the BRICS partnership and enhancing the interests of the Global South, and has provided new impetus for the high-quality development of greater BRICS cooperation. 

林剑：当前，单边主义、保护主义抬头，冲击世界经济复苏，国际发展合作动能不足，2030年可持续发展议程落实严重滞后，个别国家公然反对甚至抵制这一国际发展合作领域的纲领性文件，发展危机成为摆在各国面前的现实挑战。中国始终是推动全球发展的行动派。中国政府将落实2030年可持续发展议程纳入“十四五”规划，已提前实现减贫、卫生等领域相关目标，为全球落实工作作出积极贡献。中方大力推进国际发展合作，提出并落实全球发展倡议，近年来与20多个发展机构深化合作，惠及60多国超过3000万民众。去年二十国集团里约峰会上，习近平主席又宣布中国支持全球发展的八项行动，助力粮食安全、科技创新、绿色转型等关键领域国际合作，不断为全球发展注入新动能。

Lin Jian: As we have seen, rising unilateralism and protectionism is impacting the global economic recovery. International development cooperation lacks momentum. The implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is seriously lagging behind. Certain country even openly rejects and denounces this overarching document for international development cooperation. Development crisis has become a real challenge facing all countries. China has always taken strong actions to advance global development. The Chinese government has included the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development into the 14th Five-Year Plan. China has already realized relevant SDGs in poverty alleviation, public health and other areas ahead of schedule, contributing significantly to the implementation effort worldwide. China actively promotes international development cooperation. China put forward and has been implementing the Global Development Initiative. We have deepened cooperation under this initiative with over 20 development agencies in recent years, benefiting more than 30 million people in over 60 countries. At last year’s G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, President Xi Jinping outlined China’s eight actions for global development to facilitate international cooperation in food security, scientific and technological innovation, green transition and other key areas and inject more impetus into global development.

不久前，习近平主席同马克龙总统通电话，就加强中法战略沟通、共同维护多边主义、促进世界和平稳定等达成重要共识，为下阶段中法关系发展指明方向。中方期待通过此访，同法方一道，推进落实两国元首重要共识，巩固政治互信、加强务实合作、密切国际事务沟通协调，延续中法人文交流热度，推动文明互学互鉴，为世界和平发展、开放包容注入新动能。

Not long ago, President Xi Jinping talked to President Macron on the phone and the two leaders reached important common understandings on enhancing China-France strategic communication, jointly defending multilateralism and promoting world peace and stability, charting the course for the future development of China-France relations. Through the visit, China looks forward to working with France to implement the common understandings between the two presidents, enhance political mutual trust, strengthen practical cooperation, work for closer communication and coordination on international affairs, keep the positive momentum of China-France people-to-people and cultural exchanges, promote mutual learning between civilizations and inject new impetus to world peace, development, openness and inclusiveness.
