The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made systemic plans for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. This will provide more opportunities for the world. Last month, we held in Beijing a successful summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and announced ten partnership actions for China and Africa to jointly advance modernization. This will instill new energy for the Global South on its way toward modernization.

The Communist Party of China held in July the successful Third Plenary Session of its 20th Central Committee, laying out systematic plans for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. This will profoundly further transform China. It will also provide new opportunities and new driving forces for African countries and for our joint pursuit of modernization.

习近平主席强调，中国正坚定不移以中国式现代化全面推进强国建设、民族复兴伟业。中国共产党二十届三中全会对进一步全面深化改革、推进中国式现代化作出系统部署。这将进一步深刻改变中国，也必将为非洲国家、为中非共逐现代化之梦提供新机遇、注入新动能。中非要携手推进“六个现代化”，即公正合理的现代化、开放共赢的现代化、人民至上的现代化、多元包容的现代化、生态友好的现代化、和平安全的现代化。未来3年，中方愿同非方开展携手推进现代化十大伙伴行动，深化中非合作，引领“全球南方”现代化。

President Xi Jinping stressed that China is going all out to build a great modern socialist country in all respects and pursue national rejuvenation through a Chinese path to modernization. The Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee lays out systematic plans for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization. This will profoundly further transform China. It will also provide new opportunities and new driving forces for African countries and for our joint pursuit of modernization. China and Africa should jointly advance modernization that is just and equitable, open and win-win and eco-friendly, puts the people first, features diversity and inclusiveness, and is underpinned by peace and security. In the next three years, China will work with Africa to take the ten partnership actions for modernization to deepen China-Africa cooperation and spearhead the Global South modernization.

《中国—东盟外长关于加强人道主义扫雷合作的联合声明》积极评价中国东盟扫雷合作成果，明确了下步合作方向和务实举措，是一份有理念、有共识、有行动的成果文件，将为解决东南亚地区雷患问题，促进地区和平与发展注入新动能。中方愿同东盟国家一道，以《联合声明》为合作新起点，持续加强扫雷合作，共建和平、安宁、繁荣、美丽、友好的共同家园。

The ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Joint Statement on Strengthening Humanitarian Mine Action Cooperation speaks highly of China-ASEAN mine action cooperation, and identifies the way forward and next steps for the cooperation. This is a good document with vision, consensus and action, and will give fresh impetus to solving the issue of landmines and other ERW in Southeast Asia and regional peace and development. China stands ready to work with ASEAN countries to follow through the statement, continue to strengthen mine action cooperation, and jointly build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable common home.
