四是要有更深厚的情感连结。上合组织地区有着多元灿烂的文明，不同民族、文化在历史长河中交融汇聚，形成和合共生的生动局面，也为各国推进合作提供了民意支撑。要继续加强文明互鉴和文化交流，不断增进各国人民的相互了解和友谊。

Fourth, efforts to cultivate stronger emotional bonds. Our region is home to diverse and splendid civilizations, where different nations and cultures have interacted and converged with each other throughout the course of history and coexisted in harmony. This has been the source of popular support for cooperation among SCO member states. We need to further promote mutual learning among civilizations and cultural exchanges so as to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the people of SCO member states.

中国始终是现行国际秩序的维护者、真正多边主义的践行者。中方倡导和平发展，反对国强必霸；倡导合作共赢，反对赢者通吃；倡导文明互鉴，反对文明冲突；倡导公道公正，反对强权政治。中国相继提出共建“一带一路”倡议和全球发展倡议、全球安全倡议、全球文明倡议、全球治理倡议，为解决当今世界突出问题贡献了中国智慧和中国方案。中方期待同各方一道，共促繁荣、共赢未来，携手构建人类命运共同体。

China always upholds the current international order and practices true multilateralism. We embrace peaceful development, and reject the assertion that a strong country will inevitably seek hegemony. We champion win-win cooperation, and denounce winner-takes-all practices. We advocate mutual learning among civilizations, and do not believe in clash of civilizations. We promote fairness and justice, and oppose power politics. China has successively put forward the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative. They are China’s solutions to the salient issues across the world, based on Chinese wisdom. We look forward to working with all parties to promote common prosperity and a win-win future for all, and building a community with a shared future for humanity.

本次会议最突出的亮点是，习近平主席系统总结了中拉关系发展的成功经验，宣布启动团结、发展、文明、和平、民心“五大工程”，进一步夯实政治基础、促进共同繁荣、深化文明互鉴、维护地区稳定、增进人民情谊，为中拉命运共同体建设明确了方向。

The biggest highlight of this meeting is that President Xi Jinping systematically summarized the successful experiences of the development of China-LAC relations. He announced the launch of five programs which are Solidarity Program, Development Program, Civilization Program, Peace Program and People-to-People Program. The five programs will further consolidate political foundation, promote common prosperity, deepen mutual learning between civilizations, promote regional stability and people-to-people friendship which points the direction for the building of a China-LAC community with a shared future.

“和羹之美，在于合异”。中文是穿越历史的载体，更是通向未来的桥梁。我们期待更多人以中文为桥读懂中国、读懂世界，也愿同各国一道，以对话破除对立，以包容消弭分歧，携手构建人类命运共同体，书写“各美其美、美美与共”的文明互鉴新篇章。

As an ancient Chinese saying goes, “It’s the combination of different ingredients that makes the soup delicious.” A language is a vehicle of history and more importantly, a bridge to the future. We hope that more people will be able to use Chinese as a bridge to read and understand China and the world. We are also ready to work with countries around the world to bridge divisions through dialogue and approach differences with mutual accommodation, to form a community with a shared future for the world, and promote together the diversity and vibrancy of its civilizations.
