一百年来，党领导人民浴血奋战、百折不挠，创造了新民主主义革命的伟大成就；自力更生、发愤图强，创造了社会主义革命和建设的伟大成就；解放思想、锐意进取，创造了改革开放和社会主义现代化建设的伟大成就；自信自强、守正创新，创造了新时代中国特色社会主义的伟大成就。党和人民百年奋斗，书写了中华民族几千年历史上最恢宏的史诗。

Over the past hundred years, the Party has led the people to a number of important milestones: achieving great success in the new-democratic revolution through bloody battles and unyielding struggles; achieving great success in socialist revolution and construction through a spirit of self-reliance and a desire to build a stronger China; achieving great success in reform, opening up, and socialist modernization by freeing minds and forging ahead; and achieving great success for socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era through a spirit of self-confidence, self-reliance, and innovating on the basis of what has worked in the past. The endeavors of the Party and the people over the past century represent the most magnificent chapter in the millennia-long history of the Chinese nation.

王毅外长表示，为推动落实全球治理倡议，中方愿同各方一道，坚持平等协商，以开放心态对待不同观点，以包容态度吸收有益建议，最大限度凝聚各方共识；坚持守正创新，与时俱进对现行国际体系进行改革完善，而不是另起炉灶；坚持循序渐进，久久为功推动全球治理体系变革，使之惠及整个世界。

Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China is ready to work with all parties to put the GGI into action. We will engage consistently in equal consultation, listen to different views, and take useful advice with an open mind to build maximum consensus. We will base our creativity on past achievement, and make timely changes to reform and improve, rather than replace, the current international system. We will promote global governance reform with gradual and sustained effort to make it beneficial to the whole world. 

我们将坚持稳中求进、以进促稳，守正创新、先立后破，系统集成、协同配合，充实完善政策工具箱，根据形势变化动态调整政策，提高宏观调控的前瞻性、针对性、有效性。注重目标引领，把握政策取向，讲求时机力度，强化系统思维，提升宏观政策实施效能。

We will stay committed to pursuing progress while ensuring stability, promoting stability through progress, upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, establishing the new before abolishing the old, and promoting systematic integration and efficient coordination. We will enrich and improve our policy toolkit, make timely policy adjustments in light of new developments, and make macro regulation more forward-looking, targeted, and effective. We will remain target-oriented and maintain the correct policy orientation with the right timing and intensity. We will enhance systems thinking and implement macro policies more effectively.

今天是2024年最后一场外交部例行记者会。一年来，中国外交守正创新，成果丰硕。元首外交书写恢弘新篇章，深化全方位外交布局取得新进展，人类命运共同体建设取得新突破，外交为民取得新成效。中国的政策主张特别是习近平主席提出的重大理念倡议得到国际社会的支持和欢迎，中国式现代化的世界意义日益彰显。

This is the last regular press conference of the Foreign Ministry in 2024. Over the past year, we upheld fundamental principles while breaking new ground in diplomacy and achieved fruitful outcomes. A remarkable new chapter has been written in head-of-state diplomacy, new progress has been made in pursuing all-round diplomacy, new breakthroughs have been made in building a community with a shared future for mankind, and new outcomes have been achieved in serving the people through diplomacy. China’s policies, especially major concepts and initiatives put forth by President Xi Jinping, are supported and well-received by the international community. The Chinese path to modernization is gaining greater international significance.
