团结就是力量。建立最广泛的统一战线，是党克敌制胜的重要法宝，也是党执政兴国的重要法宝。

Solidarity is strength. Developing the broadest possible united front provides important assurance for our Party to defeat the enemy and to govern and rejuvenate the country.

今年是世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年。9月份，中国举行了一系列隆重的纪念活动，东盟很多国家领导人应邀出席，共同缅怀那段艰苦卓绝、可歌可泣的峥嵘岁月。在那场战争中，中国与东南亚国家不畏强暴、奋起抗争，相互支持、并肩战斗，最终赢得独立和解放。随后数十年，我们又一道共同发展，以相互启迪、通力合作实现经济快速增长，以守望相助、和衷共济渡过金融危机、海啸、新冠疫情等重大难关。正如今年4月习近平主席出访东南亚时所讲，团结就是力量，合作才能共赢。中国和东盟国家作为相近相通、相亲相依的好邻居、好兄弟，只要我们团结自强，就能迸发出惊人的巨大能量，就没有什么困难战胜不了。

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War. In September, China held a series of solemn commemorative events, and many ASEAN leaders joined us in Beijing to honor that arduous yet heroic chapter of history. During that war, China and Southeast Asian nations, undeterred by tyranny, rose up in resistance, stood by one another, and fought shoulder to shoulder till we achieved independence and liberation. In the ensuing decades, we continued to stand side by side to promote common development. We inspired one another and pulled together to deliver rapid economic growth. We supported one another and coalesced amid hardships to overcome major challenges like financial crises, tsunamis, and the COVID-19 pandemic. As President Xi Jinping noted during his visit to Southeast Asia in April, "Unity brings strength, and cooperation leads to mutual success." China and ASEAN countries are good neighbors and good brothers, standing close and connected, in kinship and in mutual support. As long as we stay united and independent, we will generate immense strength. No difficulty is too great for us to surmount.

团结就是力量，合作才能共赢。中国愿同马来西亚和其他东盟国家一道，顺应和平与发展历史潮流，抵御地缘政治和阵营对抗暗流，冲破单边主义、保护主义逆流，推动高水平战略性中马命运共同体破浪前行，携手打造更为紧密的中国－东盟命运共同体。

Unity brings strength, and cooperation leads to mutual success. China will work with Malaysia and other ASEAN countries to combat the undercurrents of geopolitical and camp-based confrontation, as well as the countercurrents of unilateralism and protectionism, in keeping with the historical trend of peace and development. We must brave the waves ahead and advance the high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, and jointly build a stronger China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

第二，在团结与分裂之间，我们坚定地选择团结。当今国际社会最大的担忧，是人类会不会走向分裂、世界会不会发生新的冷战。习近平主席给出中国答案：“团结就是力量，信心赛过黄金”。我们坚决反对地缘政治的小圈子、破坏稳定的小集团，始终致力于构建新型国际关系，巩固扩大全球伙伴关系网络。

Second, we firmly choose solidarity over division. What concerns the international community the most today is: Will humanity head toward division? Will there be a new Cold War? President Xi Jinping has given China’s answer: “Solidarity brings strength, and confidence is more precious than gold.” We stand firmly against small circles that seek geopolitical purposes and small blocs that undermine stability. China is committed to building a new type of international relations and to consolidating and expanding the global network of partnerships.
