As we know, Nizhny Novgorod is the hometown of the great Russian writer Maxim Gorky. 今年是中匈建交75周年。建交以来，两国关系保持平稳健康发展，取得了实实在在的成就。双方坚持相互尊重、平等相待、互利共赢，视彼此为优先合作伙伴，在风云变幻的国际形势中，不惧风雨、不畏强权，走出一条主权国家独立自主对外友好交往的正道。

This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Hungary diplomatic relations. The bilateral relationship has since been developing and growing steadily and soundly with tangible results achieved in all fields. We respect and treat each other as equals, and pursue mutually beneficial cooperation. We see each other as a priority partner of cooperation. We have gone through hardships together and defied power politics together amid volatile international situations. We have found our respective path for sovereign states to independently conduct friendly exchanges with other countries.

作为世界上两大力量、两大市场、两大文明，近年来中欧关系的稳定性、互利性、战略性不断上升，中欧间的共同利益、共同立场、共同目标也在增多。中欧都支持多边主义，都主张维护以联合国宪章宗旨和原则为基础的国际关系基本准则，都支持构建开放型世界经济，都支持以规则为基础的多边贸易体制，都反对单边行径和贸易保护主义。这是中欧面对风云变幻的国际形势作出的战略抉择，也是双方对人类社会应有的历史担当。

As two major world forces, big markets and splendid civilizations, China and Europe are seeing relations growing more stable, mutually beneficial and of greater strategic significance. We share more common interests, positions and goals. Both support multilateralism, stand for the basic norms governing international relations based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, advocate an open world economy and a rules-based multilateral trading system, and oppose unilateralism and trade protectionism. It is a strategic choice made by us in face of a fluid international situation, which shows our sense of responsibility to mankind.
