构建人类命运共同体理念与和平共处五项原则一脉相承，都根植于亲仁善邻、讲信修睦、协和万邦的中华优秀传统文化，都彰显了中国外交自信自立、坚持正义、扶弱扬善的精神风骨，都体现了中国共产党人为人类作出新的更大贡献的世界情怀，都展现了中国坚持走和平发展道路的坚定决心，是新形势下对和平共处五项原则最好的传承、弘扬、升华。

The Vision of Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind carries forward the same spirit of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence. Both are rooted in traditional Chinese values such as “Be kind to your neighbor,” “Seek amity through integrity,” and “Promote harmony among all nations.” Both attest to China’s diplomatic tenets of self-confidence, self-reliance, justice, protection of the disadvantaged, and benevolence. Both demonstrate the broad vision of the Communist Party of China to contribute more to humanity. Both manifest China’s firm resolve to follow the path of peaceful development. The Vision of Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind is the most effective move to sustain, promote and upgrade the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence in the new circumstances.

我们要用好“东方智慧”。亚洲孕育了众多古老文明，在长期实践中形成了独到的处世思辨。当我们理解了“孤掌难鸣，众擎易举”，面对日益增多的风险挑战时，就会更加坚定地选择团结协作。当我们理解了“海纳百川，有容乃大”，就能看透保护主义和单边主义没有出路，开放包容才是大道正途。当我们理解了“亲仁善邻，国之宝也”，对待国与国间的分歧、矛盾或争端，就会更多以对话促理解、以友善促和睦。这些东方智慧博大精深，为我们共迎挑战、共促发展提供着源源不断的营养和力量。

We need to better apply the Oriental Wisdom. Asia is home to a galaxy of ancient civilizations. Through centuries of practice, we have developed distinctive insights for navigating world affairs. Having learned that one hand cannot clap while many hands make light work, we are more steadfast in choosing unity and cooperation in the face of growing risks and challenges; having learned that the ocean is vast because it admits all rivers, we are able to see clearly that protectionism and unilateralism lead nowhere while openness and inclusiveness are the right path; having learned that amity and good-neighborliness are invaluable to a country, we are more proactive in promoting understanding and harmony through dialogue and goodwill to address differences, disagreements and conflicts between countries. Such profound Oriental Wisdom nourishes us and empowers us to tackle challenges and pursue development together.

在中国—东盟外长会上，王毅外长指出，中国和东盟是守望相助的友好邻邦，风雨同舟的亲密伙伴，更是荣辱与共的命运共同体。近年来，中国—东盟命运共同体建设取得丰硕成果，双方经贸联系日益紧密，人文交流迅速复苏，互联互通走深走实，新生动力不断涌现。中国东盟对话合作成为亚太合作最富有成果和活力的典范，有四条重要经验值得重视：一是坚持亲仁善邻，二是坚持以诚相待，三是坚持共同发展，四是坚持开放包容。中国共产党二十届三中全会围绕推进中国式现代化，作出进一步全面深化改革的总体部署。中方将继续坚定支持东盟战略自主，支持做大做强以东盟为中心的区域合作机制，建设好中国东盟“五大家园”；愿同东盟国家分享中国机遇，携手推进亚洲现代化进程。

At the ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, Foreign Minister Wang Yi noted that China and ASEAN are friendly neighbors and close partners who have always supported each other, and more importantly, one community with a shared future sticking together through thick and thin. Recent years have seen fruitful results in building the China-ASEAN community with a shared future. Economic and trade ties have continued to thrive, people-to-people and cultural exchanges have quickly bounced back, more solid progress has been made in enhancing connectivity, and the two sides keep finding new areas where we can work together. The dialogue and cooperation between China and ASEAN is the best example of the fruitful and vigorous cooperation in the Asia-Pacific. Four things have made it possible: good neighborliness, sincerity, common development, and openness and inclusiveness. The third plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC made an overall plan for further deepening reform comprehensively with a view to advancing Chinese modernization. China will continue to firmly support the strategic independence of ASEAN, support strengthening the regional cooperation mechanisms with ASEAN at the center, and build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home for China and ASEAN. We stand ready to share China’s opportunities with ASEAN countries, and join hands with them to advance the modernization process of Asia.

各国专家学者在四场分论坛上围绕亲仁善邻、以诚相交、互惠互利、开放包容等议题，进行了广泛、深入、热烈的交流，提出了很多建设性的意见和建议。

Experts and scholars from various countries had extensive, in-depth and warm discussions on good neighborliness, sincerity, mutual benefit, openness and inclusiveness, and put forward constructive advice and suggestions at the four sub-fora.
