The Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has made it clear that the leadership of the Party is the foundation and lifeblood of the Party and the country, and the pillar upon which the interests and wellbeing of all Chinese people depend. All Party members must maintain a high degree of unity with the Central Committee ideologically, politically, and in action. We need to enhance our capacity to conduct sound, democratic, and law-based governance, and ability to chart our course, craft overall plans, design policy, and promote reform. We must ensure that the Party fully exerts its core role in providing overall leadership and coordinating the efforts of all sides.

—We have strengthened Party leadership in all respects. We have made clear that the leadership of the Communist Party of China is the defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the greatest strength of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, that the Party is the highest force of political leadership, and that upholding the centralized, unified leadership of the Party Central Committee is the highest political principle. We have made systematic improvements to the Party’s leadership systems. All Party members have become more conscious of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership. 我们要坚持学以致用，不断以习近平外交思想指导中国特色大国外交实践。思想是行动的先导，理论是实践的指南。要坚持学思用贯通、知信行统一，从实践中来、到实践中去，切实以习近平外交思想指导外交工作实践，在思想上政治上行动上同党中央保持高度一致，坚决贯彻落实习近平总书记的外交决策部署。要用习近平外交思想的最新理论武装头脑，引导我们不断加强中国特色大国外交的理论建设、机制建设、能力建设、法治建设，进一步提高外交治理体系和治理能力现代化水平，为破解外交重点难点问题提供智力支持，为开创中国特色大国外交新局面提供不竭动力。

We need to fully apply and follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy in conducting major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. Actions and practice must be guided by ideas and theories. We need to combine study, reflection and application, and align our knowledge, conviction and action with Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, which comes from practice and in turn guides our diplomatic practice. We need to keep strictly in line with the CPC Central Committee in terms of our thinking, political orientation and action, and firmly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's diplomatic decisions and guidelines. We must equip ourselves with the latest theories of Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy to enhance the development of theories and institutions, and the building of capacities and law-based governance for supporting major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. We must work hard to further modernize the system of governance and capacity for the conduct of Chinese foreign policy, offer intellectual support for addressing key diplomatic issues and challenges, and provide inexhaustible strength to break new ground in China's major-country diplomacy.

党政军民学，东西南北中，党是领导一切的。必须增强政治意识、大局意识、核心意识、看齐意识，自觉维护党中央权威和集中统一领导，自觉在思想上政治上行动上同党中央保持高度一致，完善坚持党的领导的体制机制，坚持稳中求进工作总基调，统筹推进“五位一体”总体布局，协调推进“四个全面”战略布局，提高党把方向、谋大局、定政策、促改革的能力和定力，确保党始终总揽全局、协调各方。

The Party exercises overall leadership over all areas of endeavor in every part of the country. We must strengthen our consciousness of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment. We must work harder to uphold the authority and centralized, unified leadership of the Central Committee, and closely follow the Central Committee in terms of our thinking, political orientation, and actions. We must improve the institutions and mechanisms for upholding Party leadership, remain committed to the underlying principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, and ensure coordinated implementation of the five-sphere integrated plan and the four-pronged comprehensive strategy. We must strengthen the Party's ability and resolve to chart our course, craft overall plans, design policy, and promote reform; and we must ensure the Party always provides overall leadership and coordinates the efforts of all involved.
