华春莹中方赞赏夏巴兹总理有关表态。夏巴兹总理高度重视中巴关系，多次承诺以“新巴基斯坦速度”推进走廊建设，就任以来已经两次访问瓜达尔港，主持召开中资企业座谈会，为中巴两国务实合作倾注心血。在两国领导人指引和双方共同努力下，近期中巴经济走廊建设呈现出新气象，很多工作组和项目都在持续稳步推进，取得了积极进展。中方愿同巴方一道落实好两国领导人共识，在建设和运营好现有项目基础上，进一步聚焦产业、民生、农业、科技、信息技术等领域合作，将中巴经济走廊打造成高质量共建“一带一路”示范工程，为中巴关系和中巴命运共同体建设注入新动力，更好造福两国人民。

Hua Chunying We highly appreciate Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statements. He values Pakistan’s relations with China. And he has reaffirmed many times that Pakistan will push ahead the building of CPEC with “new Pakistan speed”. After he took office, he has been to the Gwadar port twice, and he has personally chaired meetings with Chinese companies. He has done so much for our practical cooperation. With the guidance of the leaders of both countries and with our concerted efforts, CPEC has taken on a fresh look and many positive progress has been made in advancing the various working groups and projects. China is ready to further implement the understandings between the leaders of our two countries and building on what we have achieved in building and running current projects. We will further focus on industrial development, people’s livelihoods, agriculture, science and technology, and information technology, et cetera, to build CPEC into a demonstration project for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. This will go a long way in strengthening China-Pakistan relations, building the China-Pakistan community with a shared future, and bringing benefits to the people of the two countries. 

华春莹一个中国原则是中国同包括美国在内的所有国家建立和发展外交关系的最重要政治前提和基础。正是基于一个中国原则，中美关系在过去40年里总体保持了稳定发展势头。我想绝大多数美国人民以及世界各国人民都希望看到中美关系保持健康稳定发展。任何负责任的国家政府，都应该顺应时代潮流，倾听尊重民意，顺应民众呼声。

Hua Chunying The one-China principle is the most important political prerequisite and foundation for establishing and developing diplomatic relations with all countries, including the US. The one-China principle is what has underpinned the overall stable development of the relationship between China and US over the past 40-plus years. And I think that the overwhelming majority of people in the US and elsewhere hope to see a sound and stable China-US relationship. Any responsible government would be willing to follow the trend of history and to listen to the will of the people. 

中方一向本着相互尊重、互利共赢的精神，同包括美国在内的世界各国发展友好合作关系。但是在一个中国原则问题上，在涉及中国主权和领土完整的核心利益问题上，中方没有任何妥协退让的余地。希望美方清楚认识到这一点。

China always follows the principles of mutual respect and win-win cooperation in developing friendly relations with the US and other countries. Nevertheless, on the one-China principle and issues about sovereignty and territorial integrity, which are China’s core interests, there is no room for us to concede or compromise. We hope the US side would clearly get that.

And this will help us achieve development and prosperity together.
