Zhao Lijian To safeguard peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and advance the political settlement process of the Korean Peninsula issue is in the interest of the international community. All sides need to adhere to the direction of political resolution and address each other’s concerns in a balanced manner through meaningful dialogue. Under current circumstances, ramping up sanctions won’t help solve the problem. Dialogue and negotiation is the only viable approach.
