大道之行，天下为公。党始终以世界眼光关注人类前途命运，从人类发展大潮流、世界变化大格局、中国发展大历史正确认识和处理同外部世界的关系，坚持开放、不搞封闭，坚持互利共赢、不搞零和博弈，坚持主持公道、伸张正义，站在历史正确的一边，站在人类进步的一边。

When the path is just, the common good will reign over all under Heaven. The Party has been cogitating on the future of humanity with a global vision, and has correctly understood and handled China’s relations with the rest of the world in the context of the general trend of human development, the grand scheme of things amid global changes, and the entire course of Chinese history. It champions opening up over isolation, pursues mutual benefit instead of zero-sum games, and stands up for fairness and justice. This has enabled the Party to stand on the right side of history and the side of human progress.

中华民族历来讲求“天下一家”，主张“民胞物与、协和万邦”，遵循“强不执弱，富不侮贫”的交往原则，憧憬“大道之行，天下为公”的美好世界。

The Chinese nation believes all nations together are one community, advocates fraternity among all peoples and peace for all countries, follows the principle of interstate relations that the strong do not bully the weak and the rich do not insult the poor, and pursues a world of fairness and justice for the common good.

中国坚定奉行独立自主的和平外交政策，致力于推动构建人类命运共同体。作为发展中国家、“全球南方”的一员，我们始终同其他发展中国家同呼吸、共命运，坚定维护发展中国家共同利益，推动增加新兴市场国家和发展中国家在全球事务中的代表性和发言权。中国没有称王称霸的基因，没有大国博弈的冲动，坚定站在历史正确一边，坚定奉行“大道之行，天下为公”。

China stays committed to an independent foreign policy of peace and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. As a developing country and a member of the Global South, China breathes the same breath with other developing countries and pursues a shared future with them. China has resolutely upheld the common interests of developing countries and worked to increase the representation and voice of EMDCs in global affairs. Hegemonism is not in China’s DNA; nor does China have any motivation to engage in major-power competition. China stands firmly on the right side of history, and believes that a just cause should be pursued for the common good.

习近平总书记指出，中国式现代化新道路越走越宽广，将更好发展自身、造福世界。大道之行，天下为公。作为世界上最大的发展中国家，中国始终坚持胸怀天下。我们实现现代化不是为了孤芳自赏，更不是为了“本国优先”，而是在实现自身发展的同时，为世界和平注入更多正能量，为全球发展带来更多新机遇。

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that China will better develop itself and benefit the world as it continues to broaden the new path of Chinese modernization. As a Chinese saying goes, “A just cause should be pursued for the common good.” As the biggest developing country, China always keeps in mind the greater good of the whole world. The Chinese path to modernization is not a one-flower show, still less for self-interest. It is a path toward development of China, through which more positive energy will be added to global peace and new opportunities created for global development.
