林剑我们注意到有关报道。我想强调的是，世界上只有一个中国，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分，中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府。就在53年前的今天，联合国大会通过第2758号决议，恢复了中华人民共和国在联合国的合法席位。全世界183个国家同中国建交的事实充分证明，台湾当局利用“邦交国”搞政治操弄、谋求“台独”的行径是徒劳的，无法撼动坚持一个中国原则的时代潮流，也阻挡不了中国必然统一的历史大势。

Let me stress that there is but one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory and the government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. On this day 53 years ago, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 2758 that restored the lawful seat of the People’s Republic of China in the UN. The fact that 183 countries in the world have established diplomatic relations with China fully proves that the Taiwan authorities’ attempt to use countries having so-called “diplomatic ties” with Taiwan for political manipulation and “Taiwan independence” agenda will lead nowhere. It will not shake the prevailing consensus on the one-China principle, or stop the overriding trend towards China’s reunification.

林剑1971年10月25日，第26届联合国大会以压倒性多数通过第2758号决议，决定恢复中华人民共和国在联合国的一切权利，承认中华人民共和国政府代表是中国在联合国唯一合法代表，并立即把台湾当局的代表从联合国及其所属一切机构中驱逐出去。这一决议彻底解决了包括台湾在内全中国在联合国的代表权问题，明确不存在“两个中国”，不存在“一中一台”。作为中国领土不可分割的一部分，台湾没有任何根据、理由或权利参加联合国及其他只有主权国家才能参加的国际组织。在这一原则问题上，没有灰色地带，没有模糊空间。
Lin Jian On October 25, 1971, the 26th session of the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 2758 with an overwhelming majority, deciding to restore all the rights of the People’s Republic of China at the UN, to recognize the representatives of the Government of the People’s Republic of China as the only legitimate representatives of China to the UN, and to expel forthwith the representatives of the Taiwan region from the UN and all the organizations related to it. Once and for all, the resolution resolved the issue of the representation of the whole of China, including Taiwan, in the UN. It made clear that there is no such thing as “two Chinas,” or “one China, one Taiwan.” As an inalienable part of China’s territory, Taiwan does not have any ground, reason, or right to join the UN, or any other international organization whose membership is confined to sovereign states. On this matter of principle, there is no gray zone or room for ambiguity.
近年来，西方一些势力恶意曲解联大第2758号决议，散布“联大第2758号决议未解决台湾地位”等谬论，纵容、支持“台独”分裂活动，给台海和平稳定造成严重负面影响。我要再次强调的是，任何试图否认一个中国原则，歪曲联大第2758号决议权威性与有效性的行径都是开历史倒车，是对二战后国际秩序的挑战，注定失败。中国必然统一，也终将统一，这是任何人、任何势力都阻挡不了的历史大势。
In recent years, some forces in the West have deliberately distorted UNGA Resolution 2758, falsely claimed that “the Resolution did not make a determination on the status of Taiwan,” and emboldened and supported “Taiwan independence” separatist activities, which has seriously harmed peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. Let me stress once again that any move that attempts to deny the one-China principle and undermine the authority and efficacy of Resolution 2758 turns back the wheel of history, challenges the post-war international order, and is doomed to failure. China will and must realize reunification. This is an overwhelming trend of history that no one or force can stop.
