Mao Ning At China’s invitation, UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed started an official visit to China on June 25. During the visit, the two sides will have in-depth exchange of views focusing on such issues as China-UN cooperation, sustainable development, financing for development and climate change. Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed will also visit Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as well as Beijing to look at China’s economic and social progress and what China-UN cooperation has achieved.

毛宁伊朗核问题全面协议是多边外交的重要成果。通过对话谈判恢复全面协议的完整、有效执行，是解决伊核问题的正确有效途径。去年以来，全面协议恢复履约谈判陷入僵局。中方同有关各方保持密切接触，推动各方加大外交努力，推动全面协议早日重返正确轨道，维护国际核不扩散体系，促进中东地区和平与稳定。
Mao Ning The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is an important outcome of multilateral diplomacy. Resuming the effective implementation of the JCPOA in its entirety through dialogue and negotiation is the right and effective way to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue. The negotiations on the resumption of compliance have come to a standstill since last year. We have stayed in close contact with parties concerned and encouraged them to step up diplomatic efforts, help bring the JCPOA back to the right track at an early date, uphold the international non-proliferation regime and promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
中方注意到有关各方积极寻求管控伊核局势。我们支持有助于缓和伊核局势的努力，为政治外交解决争取时间、创造条件。同时，有关努力应维护既往谈判取得的共识，平衡解决各方正当合理关切，坚持恢复全面协议的前景。否则，任何方案都无法持久，不能从根本上解决问题。中方将继续积极劝和促谈，同时坚定维护自身的正当合法权益。
We noted that parties concerned are actively seeking to manage the situation surrounding the Iranian nuclear issue. We support efforts that are conducive to easing the situation of the Iranian nuclear issue to gain time and create conditions for a political and diplomatic solution. In the meantime, relevant efforts need to uphold the common understandings reached in previous negotiations, address all parties’ legitimate and rational concerns in a balanced manner and aim at the prospective resumption of the JCPOA. Otherwise, no arrangement would last or provide a fundamental solution. China will continue to actively promote talks for peace and at the same time firmly uphold its legitimate and lawful rights and interests.
