Mao Ning The one-China principle is a prevailing consensus among the international community, a basic norm in international relations, and the political foundation for the establishment and development of diplomatic relations between China and other countries. The government of Fiji has honored the one-China principle by deciding to correct the name of Taiwan’s representative office in the country and to remove its so-called diplomatic privileges. We welcome this decision. It reflects the fact that there is unshakable, overwhelming support for the one-China principle among the international community.
