Wang Wenbin President Xi Jinping has pointed out on multiple occasions that China-US relations should not be a zero-sum game where one side out-competes or thrives at the expense of the other. The two sides should respect each other, coexist in peace, and pursue win-win cooperation. To “outcompete” China means to contain and suppress China in all respects as the biggest geopolitical challenge and competitor. It is a huge gamble that ventures the fundamental interests of the two peoples and the future of humanity. China firmly rejects this.
中方始终秉持相互尊重、平等相待、合作共赢、开放包容原则，发展同亚太国家关系，不针对任何第三方，也没有兴趣搞地缘争夺。美方应摒弃冷战思维，不要以合作为名搞阵营对抗。
