US warships frequently flex muscles in the name of exercising freedom of navigation. This is not about keeping the region free and open. This is provocation aimed at “freedom of trespassing” and it constitutes deliberate sabotage of regional peace and stability.

With the concerted efforts of the Chinese embassy and Cambodian police, this Chinese citizen was finally rescued and has returned safely to China. I kindly ask all the journalists here to watch out for similar cases. If you come across such cases, you could contact the consular protection center of the Chinese foreign ministry or our embassies and consulates in Cambodia and other countries.

我愿强调，一个中国原则的含义清晰、明确，世界上只有一个中国，台湾是中国的一部分，中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府。在这一大是大非问题上，没有任何模糊空间。
Let me stress that the definition of the one-China principle is crystal clear, i.e., there is only one China in the world, Taiwan is part of China, and the government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. There is no room for ambivalence on this major matter of principle.
中方希望欧方继续恪守一个中国原则，切实尊重中国核心利益和重大关切，在涉台问题上以实际行动恪守承诺，避免影响中欧关系和双方互信。
