Zhao Lijian On July 27, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg in Tianjin, where they had in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.
王毅国务委员表示，新冠肺炎疫情发生以来，中蒙两国相互保持“零输入”，相互支持帮助，书写了“羊来茶往”的佳话，谱写了两国友好的新篇章。中方始终将中蒙关系放在周边外交的重要位置，赞赏蒙方将发展对华关系作为外交政策首要方针，愿同蒙方共同努力，相互尊重彼此独立、主权和领土完整，尊重彼此核心利益和重大关切，尊重各自发展道路，加强在国际和地区事务中的沟通协调。新形势下，中方愿同蒙方再接再厉，积极开拓进取，不断赋予中蒙全面战略伙伴关系新内涵、新动能，更好造福两国人民，助力本地区繁荣发展。
State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that since the outbreak of COVID-19, China and Mongolia have maintained a record of zero exported case to each other. The two sides have stood together with mutual assistance, gifting one another with sheep and tea. Together we've added a new chapter to our friendship. China attaches high importance to ties with Mongolia in its neighborhood diplomacy. We appreciate that Mongolia takes developing relations with China as a key priority in its foreign policy. We stand ready to enhance communication and coordination with Mongolia in international and regional affairs on the basis of respecting each other's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, core interests, major concerns and development path. Under new circumstances, China will continue to work together with Mongolia to forge ahead and enrich and invigorate our comprehensive strategic partnership so as to deliver more benefits to both peoples and boost regional prosperity and development.
巴特策策格外长赞赏中方奉行亲诚惠容的周边外交政策，感谢中方为蒙古国经济社会发展提供宝贵支持。她表示，蒙方愿同中方一道推动两国全面战略伙伴关系充实新内涵，取得新成果。双方应积极推进“一带一路”倡议和“草原之路”倡议对接，扩大贸易往来，加强人文交流，在矿业、能源、铁路、公路、民生、防治荒漠化和沙尘暴等方面开展长期合作。
Foreign Minister Battsetseg commended China's neighborhood diplomacy featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and expressed thanks for valuable Chinese support for Mongolia's socioeconomic development. She also expressed Mongolia's readiness to work together with China to enrich and update the comprehensive strategic partnership and strive for new outcomes. The two sides should actively dovetail the BRI with the Steppe Road program, expand trade, deepen people-to-people and cultural exchange, and conduct long-term cooperation in such areas as mining, energy, railway, highway, livelihood, prevention and treatment of desertification and dust storms.
