相信大家近期都看到了，一个时期以来，少数美国反华政客出于遏制中国的企图和谋取私利的动机，不断炮制抹黑中国的言论，一再升级挑衅中国的举措。例如对中国媒体驻美机构和人员的正常新闻报道活动无端设限、无理刁难，变相大量“驱逐”中方媒体记者，泛化国家安全概念打压中国企业，肆意诋毁攻击中国共产党和中国的政治制度，对中国在美留学人员进行任意盘查、滋扰甚至扣留。上述反华政客的真实意图昭然若揭，就是要蓄意破坏中美关系，开历史倒车。美方这些恶劣行径遭到越来越多理性正义人士的批评。7月25日，48个国家的专家学者召开会议并发表共同声明，指出美国政府针对中国的言行越来越激进，这对世界和平构成威胁，任何形式的新冷战都将完全违背人类的利益，支持中美在相互对话的基础上建立关系，并致力于人类团结。

As I believe you have all seen lately, out of motives to contain China and grab selfish gains, a few US politicians have been fabricating rumors and escalating provocations against China. Their measures include wanton restrictions on Chinese media agencies and personnel in the US, expulsion of many Chinese journalists in all but name, oppression of Chinese companies under the pretext of national security, blatant slanders against the CPC and China's political system, unwarranted interrogation, harassment and even detainment of Chinese students and scholars in the US, etc. It is obvious that those anti-China politicians are deliberately attempting to disrupt China-US relations and turn back the wheel of history, which is criticized by a growing number of people speaking for rationality and justice. On July 25, experts and scholars from 48 countries held a conference and issued a joint statement, which says "We note the increasingly aggressive statements and actions being taken by the US government in regard to China. These constitute a threat to world peace...We therefore believe that any New Cold War would run entirely counter to the interests of humanity...We support China and the US basing their relations on mutual dialogue and centering on the common issues which unite humanity. "
