Geng Shuang The virtual global vaccine summit held yesterday aims to raise funds for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, with a view to ensuring vaccine accessibility worldwide. In particular, funds will be directed to accelerating research, development, production and distribution of a vaccine for COVID-19. Leaders from more than 30 countries and heads of international organizations, including the United Nations and WHO, attended the summit. All participants expressed their common desire to strengthen cooperation in vaccine research and development, and conveyed the confidence and determination of the international community to join hands in fighting the virus. China congratulates the summit on its success.
在疫情挑战依旧严峻的形势下，疫苗是抵御病毒侵袭的有力盾牌。李克强总理在会议上致辞，表明了中方对疫苗研发及国际抗疫合作的积极姿态，强调中方将继续支持世卫组织在统筹疫苗研发等方面发挥核心作用，推进疫苗多中心临床试验和研发成果尽快上市使用，向世界提供安全、有效、高质量的全球公共产品。
As the challenges remain severe, vaccines represent a strong shield against the virus. Premier Li's speech demonstrated China's positive attitude towards vaccine research and development and international anti-virus cooperation. He emphasized that China will continue to support the core role of WHO in coordinating vaccine research and development, promote clinical trials in multiple centers, and facilitate market entrance as soon as possible, so as to provide the world with a safe, effective and high-quality global public good.
过去一段时间，中方积极支持联大通过“关于新冠肺炎疫情中的药物、疫苗和医疗设备国际合作”决议，积极参与世卫组织“团结试验项目”以及世卫组织就加速新冠肺炎疫苗和药物研发、生产和公平分配发出的全球合作倡议，前不久还参与了欧盟等方面发起的应对新冠肺炎疫情国际认捐大会。
Recently, China has offered its active support to the resolution "International cooperation to ensure global access to medicines, vaccines and medical equipment to face COVID-19" adopted by the UN General Assembly, and actively participated in WHO's Solidarity Trial and its call for global cooperation to accelerate the development and production of vaccines and drugs against COVID-19 and ensure their equitable distribution. China also participated in the recent EU-initiated COVID-19 online pledging conference.

中国政府始终主张，不论在何时上市，上市公司都应当严格遵守上市地相关法律和规则，真实准确完整地履行信息披露义务，保护投资者的合法权益。中方对上市公司财务造假行为始终秉持零容忍的态度，这一立场是一贯和明确的。
It is the consistent view of the Chinese government that listed companies should strictly abide by laws and rules of where they are listed no matter when they are listed, fulfill their information disclosure obligations faithfully, accurately and fully, and protect investors' legitimate rights and interests. China holds a zero tolerance attitude towards financial fraudulent activities of listed companies. This position is consistent and clear.
美方关于中国公司不遵守美国相关规则的说法以偏概全。的确，近来个别中国公司出现财务造假行为，但这不能代表全部在美上市的中国公司。美方近期针对中国公司的一些言论和做法带有明显偏见。
The US is sentencing the whole for the behavior of a few in alleging that Chinese companies do not abide by relevant rules in the US. It is true that accounting fraud has recently been reported in certain Chinese companies, but that cannot represent all the Chinese companies listed in the US. Certain remarks and decisions by the US side lately are clearly marred by bias.
事实上，中美双方监管机构在跨境上市公司审计监管领域开展多项合作，但美方有关监管机构不愿去解决问题。美方针对中国的有关言行是对监管问题的政治操弄。逼迫中国公司从美国退市，将严重损害美国投资者的利益。我们期待美方拿出解决问题的诚意，按照跨境审计监管的国际惯例，以平等合作的方式解决分歧，真正保护投资者利益。
As a matter of fact, Chinese and American supervisory authorities have various means of cooperation in auditing oversight of cross-border listings, but what we are seeing now is relevant US supervisory body's reluctance to fix the problem. The US remarks and actions targeting China amount to political manipulation of the oversight issue. Forcing Chinese companies to delist from US stock exchanges will seriously harm US investors' interests. We hope the US will demonstrate its sincerity in solving the problem and following international common practice in cross-border listing oversight, resolve differences through equal cooperation so as to earnestly protect investors' interests.
