Over six decades of sweeping U.S. blockade and sanctions have devastated the lives of the Cuban people. The sanctions should be lifted at once, not redoubled. China firmly supports Cuba in pursuing the development path suited to its national conditions and safeguarding its sovereignty and dignity. We urge the U.S. to immediately lift the blockade and sanctions on Cuba, and remove it from the list of “state sponsors of terrorism.”
