毛宁疫情发生以来，中方始终坚持人民至上、生命至上，尽最大努力保护人民生命安全和身体健康，高效统筹疫情防控和经济社会发展。中国一直以负责任的态度同国际社会分享信息和数据。据不完全统计，三年来，中方已同世卫组织开展技术交流60余次，“新十条”发布以来就已经举行了两次。中方还继续通过全球流感共享数据库（GISAID）分享新冠病毒感染病例的病毒基因数据。多国卫生健康专家表示，没有必要针对中国采取特别入境限制。

We have made the best effort to protect people’s life and health and effectively coordinated COVID response with economic and social development. China has always shared its information and data responsibly with the international community. According to incomplete statistics, over the past three years, China has carried out over 60 technical exchanges with the WHO, two of which were conducted after the release of the 10 new measures alone. China continues to share the genome data of the virus via the Global Initiative on Sharing Avian Influenza Data (GISAID). Health experts from many countries have said that entry restrictions targeting China are unnecessary.

We have noted that recently some people in the US have made comments on China’s COVID policy adjustment. We also noted that quite many people have said if the US had not politicized the epidemic, and had treated it responsibly and put people’s life first like the Chinese government, perhaps the COVID situation in the US and the whole world would not have become what it is today.

Global Times The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently released the third report of its Task Force established to review the safety of Japan’s handling of the nuclear-contaminated water at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station. Do you have any comment?
毛宁中方注意到国际原子能机构的有关报告。初步看，这份报告聚焦福岛核污染水处置及其环境影响，提出了对有关数据进行评估审查的方法和计划。需要指出的是，在各方高度关注的福岛核污染水数据真实性、准确性，以及数据采集方法是否符合安全标准等重要问题上，报告并未得出结论。
Mao Ning We noted this IAEA report. Preliminarily speaking, this report focuses on the handling of the nuclear-contaminated water at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station and its environmental impact and proposes the methods and plans for the assessment and review of relevant data. It needs to be pointed out that no conclusion has been drawn in the report on some important issues of high concern, including the authenticity and accuracy of the data related to the nuclear-contaminated water and whether the data collection methods meet safety standards.
上述报告再次表明，国际社会对福岛核污染水数据的准确性、净化装置的有效性、环境影响的不确定性等抱有关切，这是完全合情合理的。在国际原子能机构技术工作组仍在开展工作、未得出任何结论的情况下，日方就批准核污染水排海方案并强行推进排海准备，这种做法是轻率和不负责任的。
This above-mentioned report again shows that the international community’s concerns over the accuracy of the data on the nuclear-contaminated water, the effectiveness of the treatment system and the uncertainties about the environmental impact are entirely justified. When the IAEA Task Force is still working on its mission and no conclusion has been reached, the Japanese side has greenlighted its ocean discharge plan and forcibly proceeded with the preparatory work for that purpose. Such acts are reckless and irresponsible.
核污染水排海绝非日本一家的私事。我们再次敦促日方重视国际社会的正当合理诉求，同周边邻国、太平洋岛国等利益攸关方及有关国际机构充分协商，切实以公开、透明、科学、安全的方式处置核污染水，并接受国际原子能机构的严格监督。
Discharging nuclear-contaminated water into the ocean is by no means a domestic affair for Japan. We once again urge the Japanese side to take seriously the international community’s legitimate and justified concerns, have full consultation with stakeholders including neighboring countries and Pacific Island countries and relevant international institutions, and dispose of the nuclear-contaminated water in an open, transparent, science-based and safe manner and place itself under the strict monitoring of the IAEA.
