Wang Wenbin Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that has delivered a serious blow to the development of various countries and the world economy, the 3rd CIIE outperformed the previous two ones in terms of economic and trade cooperation results. It can be said that the goal of "continued success" has been achieved.
进博会对外释放了中国坚定不移扩大对外开放、实现合作共赢的明确信号。今年以来，中国实施外商投资法和相关配套法规，外商投资准入负面清单由40条削减到33条，自由贸易试验区由18个增至21个，海南自由贸易港建设总体方案、深圳进一步扩大改革开放实施方案相继发布实施。在本届进博会开幕式上，习近平主席宣布出台跨境服务贸易负面清单、压缩禁止进口限制进口技术目录等一系列扩大开放的重要举措，表明中国开放的大门将越开越大。
The 3rd CIIE has sent a clear signal that China will unswervingly expand its opening-up for win-win outcomes. As China's Foreign Investment Law, its Implementing Regulation and various other supporting documents took effect this year, the items on the national negative list for foreign investment have been cut from 40 to 33. The number of pilot free trade zones has increased from 18 to 21. The Master Plan for the Development of Hainan Free Trade Port and the Implementation Plan for Further Reform and Opening-up in Shenzhen have both been released and taken effect. At the opening ceremony of the Expo, President Xi Jinping announced a series of important measures to expand opening-up, such as introducing a negative list for cross-border trade in services and shortening the catalogue of technologies prohibited or restricted from import, indicating that China's door to the outside world will become more and more open.
进博会也对外传递了各国加强合作、推动世界经济复苏的坚定信心。此次各方克服困难积极参加进博会，合作意向热度不减，已有数百家企业报名、签约参展第四届进博会，充分展现了对中国经济发展和世界经济复苏的积极预期。我们相信，只要各国坚持开放、合作的正确方向，就一定能够早日克服疫情影响，推动后疫情时期世界经济重回正轨。
The 3rd CIIE, with participants overcoming various difficulties to get together and seek opportunities, also conveyed the firm confidence of all countries to strengthen cooperation and promote the world economic recovery. Several hundred enterprises have signed up to participate in the 4th CIIE, fully demonstrating their positive expectations for China's economic development and world economic recovery. Wang Wenbin We noticed that head of Sinovac's cooperation partner in Brazil, the Butantan Institute, said on November 10 local time that this serious adverse event (SAE) is not related to the vaccine. Relevant departments on the Brazilian side are investigating into this event. Sinovac will continue to communicate with Brazil on this matter. We don't think it's wise to leap to any conclusions before the full details are known.
