I would like to stress once again that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. The Central People's Government of the PRC is the sole legitimate government representing China. This is an objective fact and a basic norm governing international relations. The one-China principle is the political underpinning of China-US relations. As per the 1979 Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the People's Republic of China and the United States of America, the United States recognizes the Government of the People's Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China. This serves as the basis for China and the US to recognize each other and to establish diplomatic relations. Within this context, the people of the United States will maintain cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan.
美国当年单方面制定所谓的“与台湾关系法”以及美方所谓对台“六项保证”严重违反了一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，严重违反了国际关系基本准则，粗暴干涉了中国内政，是完全错误和非法、无效的，中国政府从一开始就坚决反对。美方应该遵守的是一个中国原则、是中美三个联合公报规定，而不是单方面炮制的什么东西。
The so-called "Taiwan Relations Act" unilaterally formulated by the US side and the "Six Assurances" it made to Taiwan severely violate the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques and basic norms of international relations and constitute gross interference in China's internal affairs, which is completely wrong, illegal, null and void. The Chinese government is firmly opposed to them right from the start. The US should abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques, rather than concocting something unilaterally.

The US side should abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiques, stop official exchanges and military contacts with Taiwan in any form, and stop words and deeds that undermine peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and China-US relations, and refrain from going further down the wrong and dangerous path.
