Since our diplomatic ties were established in 1955, the two countries have been committed to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and supporting each other in safeguarding independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. In October, 2019, President Xi Jinping made a historic state visit to Nepal, elevating our bilateral relations to the strategic partnership of cooperation featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity.
