Mao Ning I’d refer you to competent Chinese authorities as well on that. Let me just say more broadly that we have made clear several times China’s position on the so-called overcapacity. China’s EV industry contributes significantly to world’s response to climate change and green energy transition. We believe that politicizing trade and economic issues and imposing trade barriers will only damage normal trade between China and Canada and in the world and disrupt global industrial and supply chains. It also hurts the global response to climate change and serves no one’s interests.

毛宁为进一步促进中外人员往来，中方决定进一步扩大免签国家范围，对新西兰、澳大利亚、波兰持普通护照人员试行免签政策。2024年7月1日至2025年12月31日期间，上述国家持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友和过境不超过15天，可免办签证入境。同时，我们促请有关国家给予中方人员更多签证便利。
Mao Ning To further promote cross-border travel, China decided to include more countries in its visa waiver program and extend the visa-free policy to ordinary passport holders from New Zealand, Australia and Poland on a trial basis. From July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from these three countries can be exempted from visa to enter China and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. In that spirit, we encourage relevant countries to offer more visa facilitation measures to Chinese nationals.
