北京时间5月16日凌晨“鲁蓬远渔028”号渔船失事后，党中央高度重视。习近平总书记要求外交部和有关驻外使馆加强与当地相关方面联系，协调做好搜救工作。外交部第一时间启动领事保护应急机制，领事司负责人做有关国家驻华使馆工作，指导驻事发海域周边国家使领馆，会同交通、渔业等主管部门和有关地方人民政府，全力以赴协调开展搜救工作。
After the fishing boat “Lupeng Yuanyu 028” capsized in the early morning of May 16, Beijing time, the matter received serious attention from the CPC Central Committee. General Secretary Xi Jinping asked the Foreign Ministry and relevant diplomatic missions abroad to stay in close contact with relevant local authorities and coordinate with them on the search and rescue operation.
