汪文斌中方已多次就有关加拿大公民个案阐明立场。必须指出，搞“胁迫外交”这顶帽子扣不到中方头上。有关加公民因涉嫌危害中国国家安全犯罪被中国司法机关依法逮捕并起诉，而孟晚舟在没有违反任何加拿大法律的情况下被加方无理拘押超过700天。越来越多的事实表明，美加执法部门涉嫌滥用程序、非法审讯孟晚舟，加方还拒绝向公众披露案件关键证据，这充分暴露了孟晚舟事件的政治本质。加方在孟晚舟事件上的所作所为才是“任意拘押”。

The relevant Canadians were arrested and prosecuted by Chinese judicial authorities in accordance with law for suspected crimes undermining China's national security whereas Ms. Meng Wanzhou has been held by the Canadian side without cause for over 700 days even though she has not broken a single Canadian law. More and more facts have shown that the law enforcement authorities in the United States and Canada are suspected of abuse of process and illegal interrogation of Ms. Meng Wanzhou , and the Canadian side even refused to disclose s key evidence to the public . All this once again reveals the political nature of the incident. What th e Canadian side has done on the Meng Wanzhou incident is no other than arbitrary detention.
我们再次敦促加方正视问题的根本原因，靠掩盖事实、误导公众解决不了问题。
We once again urge the Canadian side to face up to the real cause of the problem. Nothing can be solved by covering facts and misleading the public.
