Wang Wenbin The Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) made a statement today on behalf of the organization on the current situation in Kazakhstan. It makes positive comments on the measures taken by the Kazakh leadership to normalize the domestic situation and expresses the hope that the situation will be stabilized as soon as possible and law and order and public security will be restored. We believe that the SCO will continue to play its due role in safeguarding security and stability of its member states and the region as a whole.
