A We have noted that the Afghan government and the Taliban have separately announced temporary ceasefires, and we commend that. We hope that the two sides could prioritize the interests of their nation and people, meet each other halfway, extend the duration of their ceasefires, restart peace talks as soon as possible, move forward the reconciliation process in Afghanistan, and realize peace and stability at an early date.
