总台央视记者据报道，昨天，习近平主席集体会见了美国工商界和战略学术界代表。发言人能否进一步介绍有关情况？

CCTV It’s reported that yesterday President Xi Jinping met with representatives of the US business, strategic and academic communities. Can you share more information with us?

习近平主席在会见时指出，中美关系是世界上最重要的双边关系之一。中美应该成为对方发展的助力，而不应该成为阻力。只要双方都把对方视为伙伴，相互尊重、和平共处、合作共赢，中美关系就会好起来。希望两国各界人士多来往、多交流，不断积累共识、增进信任、排除干扰、深化合作，为两国人民带来更多实实在在的福祉，为世界注入更多稳定性。

President Xi Jinping noted in the meeting that the China-US relationship is one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world. China and the US should help rather than hinder each other’s development. As long as both sides see each other as partners and show mutual respect, coexist in peace and cooperate for win-win results, China-US relations will get better. President Xi Jinping expressed the hope that people from all sectors of Chinese and American societies will have more mutual visits and exchanges, expand common ground and mutual trust, overcome distractions, and deepen cooperation, in an effort to bring more tangible benefits to the two peoples and inject more stability into the world. 

此次会见是习近平主席自两国元首旧金山会晤以来第一次在京会见美方人士。美方人士反响热烈，表示习近平主席在会见时对中国发展和中美关系发展发出了非常清晰、全面的信号。美国企业看好中国经济发展前景，将坚定不移继续深耕中国，同中国发展长期紧密的合作关系。美国工商界和战略学术界支持美中双方加强各层级交往交流，增进相互理解、信任与合作，携手应对全球性挑战，推动建立稳定、可持续、富有成效的美中关系。

This is the first meeting between President Xi and US personalities since the summit meeting in San Francisco. The US attendees responded warmly to the meeting and said that President Xi sent a clear, full signal about China’s development and China-US relations. The US companies are optimistic about China’s development prospects, will maintain their strong commitment to the Chinese market, and pursue close and long-term cooperation with China. The US business, strategic and academic communities support the United States and China in bolstering exchanges and communication at all levels, enhancing mutual understanding, trust and cooperation, joining hands to address global challenges, and fostering a stable, sustainable and productive US-China relationship.

We are against economic coercion, which undermines international trade order and rules and threatens the stability of global industrial and supply chains. We will work with all countries in the world to make economic globalization more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial for all.

林剑外交部和中国驻巴基斯坦使馆正在积极开展应急处置和善后工作。3月27日，中国驻巴基斯坦大使前往事发项目营地，看望慰问中方员工。巴基斯坦总统扎尔达里来到中国驻巴使馆吊唁在事件中遇难的中国公民，并承诺将坚决采取措施，尽快将凶手绳之以法。巴方正在密集开展事件调查和后续处置工作，已经采取切实举措加强了对中方人员、项目和机构的安全保护。我们相信巴方一定能尽快查明真相，将凶手绳之以法。

Lin Jian China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy in Pakistan are actively engaged in the emergency response and follow-up work. On March 27, the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan visited the project camp whose personnel came under the attack to convey sympathy to the project’s Chinese employees. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan to offer his condolences over the Chinese nationals killed in the attack. He promised that the Pakistani side will take resolute measures to bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible. The Pakistani side is working intensively to investigate and handle the aftermath and has taken concrete steps to enhance security for Chinese personnel, projects and institutions. We believe Pakistan will get to the bottom of the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
