Representative of the Chinese government and Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Luo Zhaohui, head of the team responsible for re-establishing the Chinese Embassy in Nauru Wang Xuguang, Nauru’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Lionel Aingimea, and Minister for Infrastructure Development Jesse Jeremiah jointly unveiled the plaque of the Embassy. Speaker of the Nauru Parliament Marcus Stephen, government officials, members of the Nauru Parliament, and representatives from Chinese companies and the Chinese community in Nauru attended the ceremony.
在复馆仪式上，安格明外长代表瑙方祝贺中国驻瑙鲁使馆复馆，重申瑙方坚定恪守一个中国原则，将一个中国原则作为基本外交政策，并表示瑙中复交后两国关系发展迅速，在瑙鲁国内受到热烈欢迎，瑙方对双方未来合作充满期待。
At the ceremony, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Lionel Aingimea, on behalf of Nauru, congratulated China on the reopening of the Embassy, reiterated that Nauru is firmly committed to the one-China principle and regards the one-China principle as a fundamental foreign policy, and noted that after the resumption of diplomatic ties, the China-Nauru relations have developed fast and are warmly received in Nauru, and that Nauru looks forward to what the two countries can do together.
中瑙于1月24日正式复交后，一致同意尽快互设使馆。在双方共同努力下，复交仅5天，五星红旗就再度在瑙鲁升起，预示着中瑙关系开启加速度、驶入快车道，也再次昭示坚持一个中国原则的国际大势不可阻挡，支持一个中国原则的国际大家庭只会不断壮大。中方愿同瑙方平等相待、密切沟通、精诚合作、共同发展，推动两国关系不断向前迈进，切实增进两国人民福祉。
After officially resuming diplomatic relations on January 24, China and Nauru agreed to open embassies in each other’s country at an early date. With the concerted efforts of both sides, only five days on, the Five-Starred Red Flag is once again flying high over Nauru, a sign that the China-Nauru relations are embarking on a fast track of growth. It also shows that the historical trend of commitment to the one-China principle will not be stopped, and the world’s big family committed to the one-China principle will become even bigger.
