澎湃新闻记者日前，台湾当局举行新闻说明会，提出“参与联合国四大诉求”，并称将联合“邦交国”致函联合国秘书长，敦促联合国修正对2758号决议的“错误解释”。你对此有何评论？

What’s your comment?

1971年10月25日，第26届联合国大会以压倒性多数通过第2758号决议。明确恢复中华人民共和国的一切权利，承认中华人民共和国政府的代表为中国在联合国组织的唯一合法代表，还要求将台湾当局“代表”从其非法占据的席位上驱逐出去。决议通过后，美国等少数国家为保留台湾在联合国的席位而提出的所谓“双重代表权”提案成为废纸一张。联大第2758号决议不仅从政治上、法律上和程序上彻底解决了包括台湾在内全中国在联合国的代表权问题，而且明确了中国在联合国的席位只有一个,不存在“两个中国”、“一中一台”的问题。

On October 25, 1971, the 26th session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 2758 with an overwhelming majority, which “decides to restore all its rights to the People’s Republic of China and to recognize the representatives of its Government as the only legitimate representatives of China to the United Nations”, and to expel forthwith the representatives of the Taiwan authorities “from the place which they unlawfully occupy”. Henceforth, the “dual representation” proposal put forth by the US and a few other countries to keep Taiwan’s seat in the UN became a piece of waste paper. Once and for all, UNGA Resolution 2758 resolved, politically, legally and procedurally, the issue of the representation of the whole of China, including Taiwan, at the UN. It also made it clear that there can only be one seat representing China at the UN. No issues exist about so-called “two Chinas” or “one China, one Taiwan”. 

两岸同属一中，台湾是中国领土的一部分，两岸虽长期政治对立，但中国的国家主权和领土完整从未分割。这就是台湾问题的真正现状。民进党当局鼓噪“参与联合国”，本质上是制造“两个中国”、“一中一台”，企图挑战以联合国为核心、国际法为基础的国际秩序。试图破坏台海现状、危害台海和平稳定的，是不断推进“渐进式台独”、大搞“去中国化”的民进党当局，是不断虚化掏空一个中国原则、纵容支持“台独”分裂活动的外部势力。他们才是破坏台海现状的罪魁祸首。

Both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one and the same China. Taiwan is part of China’s territory. Although the two sides have been politically against each other for a long time, China’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity has never been split. This is the real status quo of the Taiwan question. The DPP authorities’ hype-up of Taiwan’s participation in the UN system is actually an attempt to create a false impression of “two Chinas” or “one China, one Taiwan” and challenge the UN-centered international order underpinned by international law. The DPP authorities have been promoting “incremental independence” and pushing for “de-sinicization”, while some external forces have been fudging and hollowing out the one-China principle and conniving at and supporting separatist acts for “Taiwan independence”. It is them, not anyone else, who are undermining the status quo and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. They are the ones responsible for disrupting the cross-Strait status quo.
