毛宁孟加拉国女孩阿里法·沁2010年出生时，她的母亲因患严重心脏病遭遇难产，一度生命垂危。当时正在孟加拉国吉大港访问的中国海军“和平方舟”号医院船接到求助后，第一时间派出军医赶赴当地医院进行剖腹产手术，最终母女平安。为表感谢，她的父亲给她起名“沁”，孟加拉语的意思就是“中国”。
Mao Ning In 2010, Alifa Chin was born to a mother who had a difficult labor with her life in danger due to severe heart disease. China’s navy hospital ship The Peace Ark, which was visiting Chittagong, Bangladesh at that time, sent doctors to the local hospital immediately after receiving a call for help. The doctors performed an intense C-section to ensure the safety of the mother and the baby. To express his gratitude, the father named the baby “Chin”, which means “China” in Bengali.

President Xi noted that since ancient times, the Chinese and Bangladeshi peoples have been close neighbors and good friends. The friendly exchanges date back over a thousand years. Chin’s story is a very touching one of friendship between China and Bangladesh. President Xi expressed the hope that she will make best use of her youthful years and study hard to make her dreams come true. By then, she will be able to give back to her family, contribute to the society and serve her country. President Xi said that Chin is very welcome to visit China as often as she wants to broaden her horizon and make new friends. He hoped that her actions will inspire more people to dedicate to China-Bangladesh friendship and to work together for a brighter future of China-Bangladesh relations.

毛宁中方一贯坚决反对建交国与中国台湾地区进行任何形式的官方往来，包括商签任何具有主权意涵和官方性质的协定。美方有关行径严重违反一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报规定，也违背美方自己做出的仅同台湾保持非官方关系承诺，中方已经多次就此向美方提出严正交涉。
Mao Ning China strongly opposes official interaction of any form between China’s Taiwan region and countries that have diplomatic relations with China. That includes negotiating or signing any agreement of sovereign implication or official nature. The US’s move gravely violates the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, and contravenes the US’s own commitment of maintaining only unofficial relations with Taiwan. China has made solemn démarches to the US many times.
美方应当停止任何形式的美台官方往来，不得与中国台湾地区商签具有主权意涵和官方性质的协定，不得借经贸名义向“台独”分裂势力发出任何错误信号。民进党当局打着经贸合作的幌子搞“倚美谋独”，注定是竹篮打水一场空。
The US needs to stop official interaction of any form with Taiwan, refrain from negotiating or signing any agreement of sovereign implication or official nature with China’s Taiwan region, and stop sending any wrong message to separatist forces seeking “Taiwan independence” in the name of economy and trade. The DPP authorities’ attempt to solicit US support for “Taiwan independence” in the name of economic and trade cooperation is just futile.
